We are Resi, the UK's number one home extension company, and we are looking to hire a Business Development Representative to join our newly formed sales team in Leeds on a full-time permanent basis. As part of our new team, you’ll be supported in developing your sales and general business acumen to a level that sets you up for long term success. Your sales skills will be challenged by diverse and nuanced project ideas and making these a reality.

This role is a consultative B2C sales role, and you will be responsible for the full sales cycle from initial consultation through to closing. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's passionate about B2C sales, and is keen to ramp up their sales skills quickly with in a tech start-up environment. 


As a Business Development Representative at Resi, you will have the opportunity to build and accelerate your career in sales within a high-paced business, helping homeowners to bring their project ideas to life. You’ll work closely alongside a team of high performing Business Development Specialists, as well as our other in-house professionals including Architectural Designers, Planners, Digital Surveyors and Building Regulation Specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and performing consultation calls with potential customers (warm leads generated from our various marketing channels)
  • Exploring the customers’ project goals, accurately tracking relevant information, and identifying possible objections
  • Selling the Resi services (design, finance + connect) and combatting any objections with solution-based responses
  • Building bespoke quotes and maintaining a diligent follow up process for maximum conversion
  • Build a comprehensive book of referees from your existing customer base
  • Strong compliance with your database and customer tracking tools
  • Maintain a high standard of service at all times, whilst achieving monthly revenue quotas

Job requirements

About You - You will ideally have:

  • 1-2 years' experience working in B2C sales (with closing experience!)
  • Real passion about driving new revenue growth
  • The ability to build and develop relationships with clients, regardless of their location or circumstance
  • The desire and grit to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • The ability to clearly communicate the Resi vision and brand successfully to our customers
  • A passion for technology innovation and driven by new ideas
  • The ability to work and self-develop independently and as part of a wider team contributing to a shared goal


You might be an even better fit if you have:

  • Previous knowledge or experience working within the property, architecture, or construction sectors
  • An interest in architecture / home improvement
  • An understanding of the lifecycle of a house extension project - maybe you have renovated your own home?
